A return to April of this year and also to my comfort zone of low light conditions, the original image can be seen in the workshop.

This particular image was taken after Looking down, Beijing Bound, Autumn Fog and before Sound of Silence. In the top left corner is the windmill which I first showed here, unfortunately the mill is now partially hidden by recently completed apartments.

Nicely done, David...we can see just enough of the details through the gloom, the buildings and colours, to add interest and depth to the shot. A lovely capture og a gloomy, foggy day with some nice reflections, especially on the right of the shot.

Hi David

The fog is thin enough to see through to the colours and the buildings. Like the ambience of this shot very much.

Regards
Esther

Hello David,

Even without looking at the name, this has your stamp on it!
Quite a number of shots this morning share this calm, tranquil quality. It must be the time of year to take things quietly and slowly!
The fog adds a sense of mystery (I'm sure everyone will admit to scrutinising the b/g to discover what is slightly hidden there) and depth.
I like the the outlines of the posts and the boat are subtly reflected in the water.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi David,
Beautiful foggy landscape, nice details and reflections on water, very well taken and composed picture , excellent done.

Another very pretty foggy scene. This has a great feeling to it. A beautiful picture. TFS and have a happy day!

Hello David

Beautiful visual,
do tell me, in the months of August you have fogs or not?
Because in April it is still hot, I think once you spoke to me that we have an almost similar climate, and in April here it is still summer and he doesn't have a cloud in the sky! Interesting the look and I adore these scenes.
Congratulations !

I am like you-my favorite type of image, fog , mist, landscapes, yes, and I cannot wait for fall in our part of the country-it is just too hot here in BC today, 34 degrees-how can I take photo's in this heat-thanks for helping make me feel cooler---Lynne

David, outra bela fotografia com uma atmosfera envolvente por conta da neblina.
Gostei muito, parabéns.
Grande abraço,
Vera

The textures of this are what really catch my eye, David - the glassy texture of the water contrasted with the mistiness of the landscape behind are just super

Hi David,
Well, you got me again; you're magical, to me, with these low light, low contrast images.
Very nice post work on this, the differences in detail, let alone perspective, are amazing.
Great handling of light and color as well.
Good stuff,
TFS,
Wilt

Hats off to you David for this beautiful composition under a low lighting situation. The fog nicely envelopes the scene, and there is good refelction. Danilo

I like the subtle colors in this, David! Elements are well placed within the frame, and the eye is led by the reflections (I like the float in just the right place where the imaginary picture divisions intersect - fibonacci, golden ratio, the center of an 'invisible' golden spiral)
Cheers
Otto

Hi David,

How glad I am you have this as your comfort zone, because I enjoy the tranquility of it very very much.

Beautiful work again.

hello David

While misty but still able to show the houses at far end, that is a good skill for shooting this effect from across the river. I like the tone of this capture, very romantic air.

Hello David
I see a magnificent ambiance that suits well to a portuary scenery.
The suggested and faint autumnal colors are strong incentives to backdrop scanning.
Have a g'day.
