While staying in Manaia, South Taranaki, I was taking a look around my friends backyard. He has this old corrugated shed..(full of junk..lol..sorry Bill)..but a great photo op.. here I was playing around with DOF, and thought this was an eyecatching photo.. what do YOU think?

Beautiful image Dawn... very artistic. Great composition and colour.

Regards Mark :)

I like it and I've played a bit.
See WS, hope you don't mind.

Yes, I like the colours - trust you to go looking at rusty buildings!!

The lines are good, and the patterns have some lovely colours and although it is OOF it is still recognisable for what it is.

The small patch of in-focus shows good details.

Good one MF

Hi Dawn. Very good shot in shallow depth. The focused area exposing details of the rusty corrugated sheet with fine details. Nice perspective and good framing and have to agree with Els on Dof for repeated perspective. Regards. Jusni

Hi Dawn,

Yes and no - that does not help you much.

You liked this effect and I probably would have liked the F22 effect more. Rust is eye catching indeed and the textures provide you with a warm abstract.

Have to add a translation to your title
the dutch word RUST means REST in english
the dutch word DOF means a texture not brilliant but more dusty.

Hi Dawn,

Without reading your note, I thought was trees . .
It's a beautiful presentation . .
Lovely highlights and shadows here . .

It is really eyecatching Dawn, it seems to glow with an inside light. You did very well on the DOF too. First time I have seen a corrugated sheet with pink color!

I liked this one for the special tones and the technic.

Iso,

Nice! Definitely a good photo op, and an intriguing POV with excellent use of light, colour, and texture. I like this.
