The glare of the afternoon sun while I was shooting a mountain glacier to the south from the stern of a small boat heading north on Lake Menendez in southern Argentina somehow completely changed the light and color captured in the photo. The picture was taken towards mid-afternoon on an early fall day.
What I especially like is the accentuation of the contour of the waves on the left side of the wake. The effect was one of the surprises of what a camera can catch. Also pleasing to me is the predominance of the dark hues of blue-gray-black in the final product. |

Welcome to TL Tim. This is a beautiful shot, a few problems with purple fringe at the bottom of the shot. Too dark in spots, solar flare is bothersome. Also you can post up to 800 pixels, so use it! It really makes a shot easier to see and work with.
