No words can explain what I feel every time I visit Tierra del Fuego province (Land of Fire Island), in the southemost part of Argentina. The solitude and the extreme loneliness you breath everywhere have no price. I found this little "flagged tree" (Arbol Bandera is the spanish meaning) abandoned beside the road to Harberton Ranch, so lonely and castigated by the strong winds, as an sentinel being on guard of that wild fields of the Beagle Channel shores.
I just wanted to freeze that beautiful moment, the dramatic sky, the wind blowing the grass and the character, the tree trying not to give up the fight for his life in that extreme conditions of cold and wind. |

Lovely. Painting-like.
I like the composition and the details of the clouds and grasses.
Interesting note as well.

Great photograph Alejandro. Beautiful composition and colors with great depth.
Your note is interesting since I first thought that this was a very serene, peaceful spring scene instead of the bleak fields you describe.
A 'red' filter to darken the sky and convert the clouds to blueish tones, or a lower exposure in B&W could have conveyed your mood more accurately perhaps? (sorry my PS is acting on me, i couldn't post a workshop with these ideas...)
Great picture nonetheless!
fantastic photo, great scene you found, i like it very much (clouds!) tfs
