Just the last road of Argentina, the world´s end, about 250km east from Ushuaia, the southemost city in the world, this is the landscape you can find. Jules Verne described this area, very similar to the Staten Island another 300 km east from here, in his novel "The lighthouse of the end of the world". This are the coasts of the Beagle Chanel, and in the background you can see the Picton Island, one of the three islands that where on dispute with Chile in the past.
Wet, cold and lonely are just the words to describe this place at the south edge of America. |
