I took this picture yesterday night from my house roof. It was 2am and I was trying to sleep in that very hot night of Buenos Aires, but suddenly a little but charged storm arrived and I couldn´t resist the desire to catch some action from the clouds. As you can see in the photo the storm was leaving back, to the east coast, so you can see some part of clear sky and also with some stars at the background, but after trying many times with different exposures times and appertures, I get this incredible lighting comming out from the storm clouds just at the end of it. It was a beautiful night and I standed over my house roof for about 1 1/2 hours under the rain to get this beautiful image and to see this incredible show of lightings. I used an exposure time of 10 secs, and an apperture of f/5.6 with a focal distance of 18mm, that in my cammera is equal to 28mm in 35mm reflex cameras; the image was so clear that I didn´t used any edition tools, I just only turned on my cameras Noise Reduction as I used a long exposure time. I have also 4 or 5 more photos of this night lightings that I will probably upload later.
In my short experience as a photographer, I always wanted to take a lighting shot, but as I live in a dense city as Buenos Aires, this was very difficult to do because all the obstacles, but yesterday I could take one of my most wanted wishes in photography. I am very happy with it.
Ahh, don´t worry, I was standing in my roof but I had a lighting rod over me.

La photographie a le pouvoir d'arrêter le temps pour nous permettre d'observer ce que notre oeil ne pourrait pas voir en temps réel. Merci pour ce beau travail.

This one is much more impressive than previous, with fine detailed lightning branches and dramatic clouds. Thanks for sharing.

Hello again!
It is indeed one of the best lightning shot I have seen , It is so special as you were under it , instead of taking it from a distance!
It pays not to be afraid to get wet (^_^)
Well done !
Robert

WOW!!
Bonne continuation!Je l'a met dans mes favori! ^^
