Here is the second one of my series "stairs"
This is the same stairs of previous shot (Alvear Hotel in Buenos Aires), but seen from up side, during day light. (previous one was from bottom, with artificial light)
This one is not bad, but the first one is my favourite.
All comments (good and bad) are well come

I don't know which one I prefer, I love them both. Great shot, your colors are great. and those stairs, you can stare at them forever.

Art !
The light again is very good (maybe a little overexposure in the stairs in the circle right, but no point!) and the shapes of the stairs and the rail, wonderful, Bernard !

aussi belle que l'autre.
L'effet de profondeur est plus impressionant sur ta vue du bas.

I have to agree about being undecisive on which one I prefer with Marleen. They are both great. On this photo I really enjoy the center moving in much more. Probably due to the contrast between the railing and the marble. The marble texture is appealing. The slight overexposed right side, uhh...I like it then I dont.
For me it would be nice if the light came in a little further, sort of splitting the stairs. But also as Hans says, no point with the slight overexposure. The composoition blows the slight overexposure out of the discussion.
On the last photo I really enjoyed the tones of the lighting and the underside pattern of the stairs and the more abstract feel of the composition.
Love this one, but I think I made up my mind. I like the first post. Why? Lighting and abstract nature.
Oh no wait, but the center of this one is fantastic. Could put them both on a print. "The upside and downside of stairs". Just a crazy thought.

They both are wonderful Bernard, I dont know If I helped any but I gave it a go.

Michael

They are great. This one has a great POV as well. But I prefer the first one too.
The center of this one seems to go to infinite.

Congrats !

Alex

Splendide photo, Bernard !!!
Un beau colimaçon et un beau rendu de la pierre !
Bravo !
Sylvie

We are completely attracted to this black hole!

The same but different. Both are excellent shots Bernard, I think I slightly prefer the previous one. Equally nice compo here, I like the texture in the marble a lot. TFS.

That's a great POV. Good details and it seems like the stairs go on forever.

Bernard I went back and looked at the previous and I like this one better. It has more contrast and draws my eye in more. Both are great. Regards, B

Hi Bernard,
This one to is realy good. Great POV sharpness and the colours are also fantastic.
Regards,
Paul

bonsoir bernard. Pour le mouvement on peut dire que c'est identique mais où cela change beaucoup c'est au niveau couleur et contraste. celle ci est limite sur la droite. Ces couleurs et contrastes sont moins bons.
jp

I like them both. The first one is more atmospheric, almost dreamlike. This one is more into your face. The composition is excellent. Congrats!

Fantastic capture Bernard...in the thumbnail it almost looks like the inside of a shell.
Colours and composition are great, lighting and framing perfect...I like them both, can't choose between them.
Thanks for sharing,
Liz

Wow, they are the same stairs but they look so different. We can see the railing in full view and the color of the marble. Great work Bernard both this and the previous.

An outstanding photo... good perspective of the stairs. I we look at construction back int the days when elevators were almost non existant... hotels were well known to be very lavish with their stairs.. specially the one on the main foyer. Still reflects such cultural behaviour. Great shot.
