[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Potosi town has Two records:
It is the city upper in the earth (4100 mts),
and more important, it has the Cerro Ricco:the biggest silver mine,
exploited by Spanish since 1500.
People say that with the silver extracted here,You can build a bridge between Europe and South America! WOW...But What is the trick ?
5 billion of people died into this mine since 1500!!!
Nowadays there isn't silver more, but only other kind of minerals.
Miners continue to extract it using the same techniques of ever. Here the expectation of life is still 34 years. To contrast the pains they keep in their mouth leafs of coke.
I was really touched meeting some of them.

Muy buena fotografía del minero boliviano. Me gustó la elección del blaco y negro para reflejar la pobreza y dignidad de esta persona y su país.
Un abrazo!

Mauro
