Sea of Salt




The Salar de Uyuni salt flat is the largest in the world. It is located in the department of Potosí in southwest Bolivia, the Andean altiplano, the altitude of 3.650m.

Around 40,000 years ago, the area was part of Lake Michin, a giant prehistoric lake. When the lake dried, it left as the remaining current Poop and lakes Uru Uru, and two major salt deserts, Coipasa (the lowest) and extensive Uyuni. The Salar de Uyuni is approximately 12.000km ² in area, ie larger than the Lake Titicaca, located on the border between Peru and Bolivia, and has approximately 8.300km ².

The bright and clear blue sky these giant cactuses and the bed of salt are enough to make it a wonderful landscape but actual thing is the eye behind the camera which identified the hidden beauty and brought it before us.Your POV is wonderful and so is the composition.Very good DOF too.TFS
