Hi
After a short Scotland intermezzo (maybe there will be more), back to Bolivia. The northwest this time. It’s not my best post. I have the feeling it’s more about the frame than the Titicaca lake itself ;-) But an experiment none the less.
-Flipped the image horizontally
-Copied the original version ‘layer via cut’ and made a background
-Copied the background ‘layer via copy’ (there are two layers and the original image now)
-Cut out the center (95% of the whole image) of one of the backgrounds
-Applied ‘Filter – Distort - Shear’ to create the waves
Lake Titicaca is, at an altitude of around 3750m, the heighest navigable water in the world. It’s north border is Peruvian soil, it’s southern is Bolivian territory. This was taken at the top of the hill next to Copacabana (hard climb !). Inca Legend says that the sun was born on an island in lake Titicaca (Isla del Sol) and that the Inca’s set out from that island to establish their empire.
Thanks for having a look and take care.

Hi Joris
An unusual buckled frame. Impeccable sharpness with subtle reflections in the lake. Excellent colour & contrast. Smart choice of a panoramic format. Tfs!

HI Joris
I love the soft detailed appearance of your photo, the water has the softbrush technique used by renowned artists with their oil paints.
Good composition and pp.
