The Cordillera Occidental





The Cordillera Occidental of Bolivia's main characteristic is to their volcanic peaks, is the natural border with Chile, the system begins in the north, with the node Jucuri and ends south in Licancabur volcano on the southern border with Chile, the climate is cold and inadequate for plant or animal life. His main asset is its soil which contains large amounts of metallic minerals like gold, silver, copper and so on. It is divided into three sections:

* The Northern in which are the highest slopes of Bolivia and the Nevado Sajama the country's highest at 6,542 m, covered with perpetual snow and the hills and Pomerape Parinacota called Payachatas, the latter is an extinct volcano with a snow cone-like Mount Fuji in Japan

* The Center is situated between the salt and Salar de Uyuni, and whose summit is the largest volcano Ollagüe the border with Chile.

* The South is characterized by volcanic and for dust storms and fog, has the largest active volcano in the world with a height Licancabur 5920 I hold the highest lake in the world, it is also Colorada Lagoon and Verde famous for their respective colors.

Marvellous warm cold colour contrasts, between the polarised blue sky, & the reddish tinted volcano. I think I see steam coming from the vent, too. Excellent sharpness & well framed & composed. Tfs!
