A YOUNG AUDIENCE
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This young audience of mine was watching me take ictures of their church, the women chatting along the street, teen-age girls doing their small talk at the corner of the street. When I pointed my camera at her she smiled at me but I was a little slow in composing the shot, I caught her cleaning her teeth instead.
Taken in a sleepy village between Alter Do Chao and Santarem. The people here have names. The "Garimpeiros" are people who work the "garimpos" or the gold fields; The "Seiringueros are the rubber tappers; the "Ribeirinhos" are river people usually the peasants and the "Caboclos" are Amazon residents of mixed Indian/European blood.
The information above were taken from the port guide paper.

Lucky you Andre, you're just roaming around the world now. I've seen your gallery and the images of the amazons are great. I can say now that you've master the art of taking good photographs.
I guess. The scene here almost looks like in the Philippines. I like the timing here.
Hi Andre, great street shot though, she seems a bit bored this way. Good sharpness and colors.

HI Andre- I've been out of touch and see I've missed quite a few beautiful pictures from your trip- I really like the colors and sharpness and your pretty subject- I'm always amazed at the contrast between the US and everywhere else. A young girl relaxing on a park bench without a cell phone just enjoying the moment- TFS!
Best wishes,
Steve
