[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this picture while horseback riding on the dunes of Jercoacoara. What attracted me was the tension in both the man and the dog, enhanced by the low, transverse cut of the light.

As it turned out, the actual picture crop is slightly smaller than it appears in the optical viewfinder, and the head of the man came out cropped. But I don't mind too much, as this perhaps yields more space to the dog.

This is a gorgeous shot. The lighting is fabulous. I noticed the crop too ... but didn't mind it either - then I read your note & saw that you mentioned the same. I like that the cropped head shifts your focus from the person to the animals and the footprints left behind in the sand.
Great!

I also like the drama in this shot - the image of the dog, in particular, is very powerful. I can see why the image captured your attention. To be entirely honest I think the photo would have been improved with the man's head but perfection is elusive in photography. In the end it does not stop this being a strong, interesting, attention-getting shot. Congratulations.

Hi Tommaso,

Beautiful scene you've captured. The photo could be a bit more sharp. The lighting and shadows are very beautiful. Well done!
