The rent-Portuguese is the same family of ferns. Their leaves (fronds) are very interesting: showing great detail in their subdivisions and clippings, making it a plant of very particular and beautiful texture. The varieties best known are plumosa and robust. In winter the leaves of the rent-Portuguese become yellow and fall, and she must be protected.

Can be grown in pots and gardeners with substrate rich in organic matter, where the half shadow, with frequent watering. Also has the possibility to be planted vertically. Appreciates the heat and high humidity. Does not tolerate direct sun or intense cold. Is multiplied by division of rhizomes.
