| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This severe looking angel, with its staring eyes, is engraved in wood at the main altar of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, in Teresina, Brazil. It was done by Master Dezinho, a very respected artist, recently deceased. Dezinho was a humble man, almost illiterate, and was the night guard of this church, when the local Vicar noticed his brilliant talent and asked him to make the altars of that in wood. Since then, it's fame growth overseas, and he became a very respected wood engraver until his death. |
