Excellent panning Fred. Clear and sharp detail of the biker, but distracted by the other biker at background, and if you can remove those background may get a bettter picture, or a learning process to take an empty background for the future. Also unfortunately the banner is same color as the bike and the biker costume.

I like the way you capture. Thanks for sharing.

Tjutjut is right. Also, you should try to leave more space in front of the rider, and less behind him. A slower shutter speed would have resulted in a better pan. Not bad though. I used to photograph a lot of Mountain Bike, and Road Bike races in the 90's. I may post one in the future.
