[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the marvelous mountain road called Serra do Rio do Rastro, in Santa Catarina, South of Brazil. 23 Km of hairpin curves and exuberant vegetation all around. We can see several waterfalls on the other side of the valley while driving down the road. Web link bellow.
Weather changes very rapidly. In few seconds we lost this view to a cloudy look.
The horizon is not tilted! This is the way one sees it if stands at the top of the mountains. It goes down very fast giving the impression that horizon is tilted.

Cheers,
Wellington

Hi Wellington,
I was just logging out for the day when I caught sight of this shot. What a simply unbelievable sight! Simply stunning. I love your composition too - one half in clouds, and the other filled with lovely greenery. I cant figure out how cars dont fall off the mt! Wish I could take this road:)

Robert

Interesting photos, Wellington. I just wrote a long note about your motorcyclist today. In this photo I see that you also have twisty and treacherous roads on hillsides. In this photo they look like they would cause vehicles to slide off because the roads look like they are at an angle downwards. Is that true?

I just remembered a place in the entrance the San Francisco Bay where you can drive your car to the top of a sharp hill, then the road turns abruptly to the side and you literally feel as if you're going drive off into the ocean from a very high elevation -- like a roller coaster -- in nature! :O)

I can only image what daring it took to construct these road . . . and/or how many lives were lost in the process.

Interesting sharp mountainous landscapes too.

Richard

Bonito tiro e grande visual!
Saudações

Sergio
