Acúleo is a projection in the surface of the plant, especially in the stem, similar to a thorn. It is a sort of by him stiffened formed by lignina or by I accumulate of substancias inorganic impregnated next to the cellular wall, and does not have any connection with the vascular system of the stem (to the contrary one of the thorns), presenting itself as a piece "inserted" about the surface of the even to which when noticeable permits the viewing of a "scar".
It is a relatively common structure between the plants, especially in the Bombacaceae and in the Roses.

Belo visual destes Acúleos aflorando na superficie destas plantas, conheço algumas que tem bastante, tirando as rosas é claro!
Boa criatividade, foi buscar algo que nos passa desapercebido, e vemos mas não achamos tanto significado naquela hora.
Só vendo para ver que eles dão um belo post!
