These bronze statues on Buzios beach are dedicated to the fisherman of this tiny village known more for it's shopping and beaches. Many buildings in Buzios have portraits done directly on the exterior walls by local artists of local, life-long fisherman. Something in my Portuguese blood found this to be very comforting. :)
