[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last evening I posted a photo of the kuikuiro women. As they were facing the camera their breats were showing. Someone considered the photo "offensive' because it contained 'nudity". It was just an etnic photo, absolutely not sexual or offensive in any way. Families were watching the tribal dance, it was showing just the way they are and their habits.

So, as apparently I can not show them facing the camera, unless I crop the pictures and just show their faces, I am now showing part of the dance, where they appear with their backs to the camera. Hope this is allowed in TL.

More of the kuikuiro shots in my gallery, check it out if you´re interested in this kind of photography.

Have a nice weekend

Hello Robert,
I can almost hear the drumbeat with this composition. There appears to be a unison to the movement of the dancers. I can't help but notice that the kuikuiro women wear has adopted to modern times with the spandex-looking underwear. A most enjoyable daily life scene. Too bad I missed your previous posting before it was deleted. Regards
Danilo

Yeah Robert... this one is good too! ;)
As in the men dancing one, I like the symmetry of all their legs moving in unison. They all the same beautiful black hair and hair style I see - love the blue glow on the tops of their heads. Some of them have tattoos .. some of them not. Some of them have bare feet .. some of them in flipflops.
The shot seems kind of soft/smooth, but I like it .. I think it suits this photo.
Great one Robert
Trudy :)

Hi Robert

"It was just an ethnic photo, absolutely not sexual or offensive in any way."

- How do you know it was not offensive? Surely that is just your opinion, can you really speak for other cultures, other people's moral standards? TL is a global site and there are many different cultures - and ages - viewing it.

"Ethnic" is a dangerous word to use, too; breasts are breasts and it doesn't matter whether the woman is European or South American, African or Asian.

Personally I think it's wiser to be sensitive to the people who use this site and respect its rules.

This shot I think captures the flow and mood of the dance, the coordination of their dance; it shows off the tribal ink and the blueish catchlights in their hair beautifully. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Robert, I have been following and appreciating or Brazilian documentary. Regarding your previous post, I strongly recommend you to post it on TrekEarth, where the terms of service specifically address such cases: "Nude photographs [are nor permitted] unless the nudity is intrinsically related to an event such as a regional festival, daily living, or the like." There will always be the occasional wacko who will be offended by pretty much any normal view, but that should not discourage you. The subject matter is also much more appropriate for the sister site.

Robert-E, this is a wonderful image and what you have done with the colors and saturation add greatly to it. Sorry I missed your previous shot with the frontal images. Who in the world could be offended by breasts in such a great photograph? I consider such photos art, not perversion. That is unless they border on the boundary of porn. Which I'm sure yours was not!

excelente me encanta esta toma, no soy dado a escribir me cuesta expresar lo que siento cuando veo una fotografia pero quiero que sepas que tu galeria es explendida y te felicito

Hey Robert,

It is pretty bad that idiots with pervert minds could find that previous picture offensive. Unfortunately, they are plenty around.

I like how you over exposed the sandy ground, bringing more detail to the bodies and movement. We can clearly see this at their black hair.

Just as suggestion, I would erase the people standing on the right hand corner, using the black background. They are calling attention and contrasting with the dancing women.

Wish you a great week.

Abraço,

Wellington
