[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These are 3 of many young boys that are assisted by a wonderful franco/brazilian ONG (NGO - non government organization) called Terrativa, that does a great job helping poor kids from poor communities in Rio.

Here, they were playing a football competition and all their attention was going towards their coach. The boy with ear ring is the same Nike chap at TE!!!

They have a tough life, and since they were born, they are used to fight for their life and their space amid society. It is a pretty tough mission. Most of them must work at early age to help their parents.

Football is more than a dream, more than a passion, it is a hope.

Football player carriere means stardom, means financial stability, means beautiful women, expensive cars, recognition and most of all, it means simply respect.

Not all of them will reach up this level, but all of them are driven by this hope... and better have this hope struggling hard to achieve it than going into the fast and wrong lane, which is drug dealing, where they earn fast, they spend fast and they die faster.

Amoldura esta lindissma. Uma bela decricao de football e a os seus beneficios. A foto esta otima e mostra que a humanidade e simplesmente um grupo que quando teem o mesmo ideal, trabalhao juntos para alcancar um fim positivo, A cor nao importa simplesmente o coracao.
Lindissima.

Good shot Bruno, nice angle.
i guess it is a matter of taste but i think if the focus was on the last guy it would work better.

Three colours, one team -I like the symbolic in it.
I'd like it even more if the third one would be in the same level.
However. well seen and done, Bruno.

I think this is a very good shot Bruno. Nice angle and good expressions caught on the three boys. Interesting that the third guy has a different expression and is looking in a different direction than the other two. Good shot.

very nice shot Bruno! I like the orange color that gives a firm base for the portrait and then these three faces all included and intertwined together.. It is a superb angle of shoot and I like the focus you chose with a short DOF letting the background boy in a slight blur... they give an imprssion of concentration and sound fatigue;-) bravo

Really a great shot Bruno. Very good choise of angle and DoF. I like the concentrated look on their faces. Your title adds symbolism to the picture too.

I see determination in their eyes, so there is hope. Nice shot Bruno. It could very well fit on TE, mostly because of the title and great note. I wpuld have preferred with more DOF in order that all three guys be in focus, to show that they are on a equal level and not focussing on one in particular. But I understand by experience that sometimes we do not know how a shot can come out when we make our settings.

Great shot Bruno. Reminds me of the tension my son experiences before his hockey matches - you can see the focus they have. The composition is great - DOF even better, and colours too. Well done!

Excellent shot, Bruno. The message in the pic is enhanced by your very good notes. Thank you.

I'm not into portraits much, but this one is rather special. The unification of races on a sporting field, the look of common determination (anxiety?), and the magic colors all go into making this a very special shot.
