Haha! Great capture - what attitude!
Actually it's a little frightening, because that expression and that pose seems to come from from hip-hop / gangsta-style videos on TV. Or am I mistaken, is it a typical pose and expression the mother might use?
And - speaking of the mother - would the child's mother be the delightful Veronica?
Well lit, sharp, with good placement and depth of field here anyway, a nice portrait.

Hi Hugh,
Not much time these days to look at pictures...too much work for some time more! It explains I missed that excellent portrait. The boy looks so decided, almost fierce, playing to look angry or tough... Very good composition with the cobbled soilk and the wall behind.
