[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Desde que foi fundada, em 1959, a paróquia de Santo Antônio, no bairro Saudade, em Barra Mansa, celebra missa em homenagem ao dia do santo, comemorado oficialmente em 13 de junho.

De acordo com o secretário da Paróquia, Nelson Rodrigues, a missa em homenagem ao santo já é tradição na cidade, assim como a distribuição dos pães. “Muita gente vem aqui para missa e pelo pão, que é abençoado e distribuído ao final. As pessoas pegam também para levar para amigos e familiares”, explica. Ele ainda lembra que a tradição de distribuir o pão vem da própria vida de Santo Antônio. “Esse santo distribuía pães aos pobres. Por isso essa tradição”, esclareceu.

Interessante nota explicativa desta tradição religiosa do Santo mais popular: Santo António.

Hello Sergio,

This is interesting since we don't often get the opportunity to see Brazilian churches!
The architecture is a bit different from what we're used to over here but still easy to see what is the purpose of the building...
