Hi Carmem,
The boy has a cheeky smile and a mischevious look about him, I think it is a little out of focus on the eyes and more focused on the hat. B&W is a great look for this type of image imo and the contrast is good. TFS

Alegria é isso Carmem! A dele e a minha ao ver essa bela foto.
Parabéns,
Raimundo

hi carmen, its a wonderul shot of a wonderful happy child, the composition and the black and white is really nice, the one thing i find even at 2.8 (i dont have a 1.8 lens)is the focus point is very touchy, in this the eyes should be the absolute focus point however it seems to be just a touch ahead like at his right collar--ok i am being way to fussy its still a great shot! maybe my eyes are fuzzy!
i was taught this technique though when shooting people with a wide open f stop (not that i am a very good portrait photographer and i am sure you already know this but:)focus on the eyes and then leave the focus alone, then shoot rapid fire as you yourself go in and out moving the camera with you, at least one will be in perfect focus every time,

another beautiful portrait of yours.
i love the joyful expression on his face.
good framing, exposure and b/w option.
no critique from me, sorry :)
congrats.
