Dancing "la Cueca"
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The cueca is a national dance of Chile. It has its origins in colonial times and is a barnyard courtship in which the man dances the part of the rooster. The woman dances the part of the hen.
The man first advances towards his female partner in a courting fashion. She retreats, establishing the patter of pursuer and pursued. As the courting continues, both partners hold their handkerchiefs aloft and flick them around as they step in a smooth, shuffling manner, until, at last, the rooster catches the hen. |

very nice shot and good PP
I like it Isabel.
Nice image, Isabel! You captured the two dancers very well, not necessarily an easy task. Good PP work to isolate the subjects, but IMO, you left too much white space on the left. I put my version in the workshop, just to show you. Thanks for sharing this one; great job!
Nice play of Hen and Rooster..*_* (reading your note)
