Southernmost point of South America, in Magallanes region, Chile; situated on Horn Island to the south of Tierra del Fuego archipelago. The cape is notorious for gales and heavy seas, and was virtually the only sea route between the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans until the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914. Cape Horn was discovered in 1616 by Dutch explorer Willem Schouten (1580–1625), and named after his birthplace (Hoorn, the Netherlands).

Hello Isabel,

Good composition here, all this people going on the right. This monument is a kind of "stargate", perhaps a gate for another world?
Excellent note too, first time I see a picture in this place.
TFS!

Marc.

Nice colors, fair sharpness, good use of orange to lead us to the monument [on which you could have shared some more info] and the sky is excellent background to the whole scene. Good shot.

We can feel it, th end of the world. So windy I guess one must were a life jacket in case you fall in the sea. Really good pp, giving just more power to the scene.
