i would like to show you the most important "and expencive" coin in my collection of 560.
it's really special, it was my father who gave it to me when i was 11 or 12, at that age i had the hobby of collecting coins, i remember asking my school friends for coins so we could exchange with candies or toys lol... i remember for example changing a masive silver coin for a packet of chips...

anyways... let me tell a little bit about the coin, there are NO MORE THAN 34 COINS LIKE THIS IN THE WHOLE WORLD... i feel really lucky for having it ;)
it was about to come into circulation in 1973 but a sudden crisis affected Ecuador and suddenly the coins worth "2 SUCRES" we actually worth nothing due to a high inflation, so just before coming into circulation, the gobernment decided to stop, melt and re-use the coins but for a higher ammount.
only a few "survived" and well..... here it is, for you :)

Ola Luis, You are one lucky stiff to posses a Dos Sucres!

I used to order my coffee with "dos sucres"... or something that sounded just like it!

I like your capture here. The right side seems a bit "richer" than the left. I might have arranged the presentation differently, viz. have the "face" on the right, and thus looking at the flipside. But that is just a suggestion.

TFS, Jay

PS Luis you may find this link about the coin's origin useful...
