[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a shot of he top of a 75m waterfall near the city if Baņos. The image is cropped quite a bit and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality the shot maintained considering I was shooting with a ultra compact camera. I messed around with curves and desaturating colors in photoshop and I like the effect that was created.

Superb! Terrific POV and desaturation treatment for an dramatic image. I like how the eye is drawn to yellow on the rappelers(?)at the horizon line, yet the rest of the composition ...the dark sky, the tree and greenery, the white water...all support and frame the action spot very well. Excellent work!

This photo seems to play tricks - the yellow is at odds with the desaturated areas, the water seems to come from nowhere, the sky appears too close and the tree looks as if it belongs somewhere else. It all works to create a very interesting image. Congratulations.
