[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These indigenous people have packed up their belongings , items bought or unsold at this village market , indeed it's a buyer/seller or trader kind of of thing here . As the day comes to an end these colourfully dressed folks are obviously finished with the bartering and are simply in wait for a bus to come by to return to their respective villages in the mountains. Guamote is a small town of 2000 inhabitants that is known to Ecuadorians for its fascinating and oh so unspoiled by tourists Thursday market, one of the largest rural market in Ecuador . Animals, fruits ,vegetables , clothes , wares of all types , just name it, it's there ! Colourful is the word that best describes an ecuadorian market.
Io 100, f/3.5 1/160 in manual program ,cloned out a few debris on the street , the crop is a bit tight on the right i reckon nothing i can do here that is how i composed it oh well , curves , light saturation , sharpening and a narrow frame,

Oh yeah, you know I love this kind of shot! Love to see the indigenous people. Your note reminds me of the market in Chichicastenengo in Guatemala - except that market is now crawling with touristos. Looks like it must be chilly there - some are huddled up with their shawls.

Oh, Zowie, Carol,
this is a nice one! I love all those rich clear colors. Really good job with the light and contrast, nice sharp detail, and I like the view of the corner where they're on both sides of the building. Colorful and so meaningful Carol.
These people don't even know how beautiful they are!
The atmosphere is just great... not just the waiting people, but also the walls of the building with the drawings and the posters...

Bonjour Carol.

Une autre belle scène de vie quotidienne équatorienne. Et je trouve qu'il y a plus que le sujet principal : apparamment, il y avait des élections dans les airs et des tuiles littéralement prêtes leur tomber sur la tête à tout moment (y a-t-il une relation ? ;).

You did a good job on that white wall : no OE
It's a natural, " documentry ", photo.
My " but " your POV.
I think if you lower it ( down on your knees )
you could loose those trees in the upper left corner
and improve the composition.
