As my son and I passed the Policia de Tourista in Cuzco, Peru we watched as men carried out guns by the armfull and load them into the truck. Looks like enough to outfit a small army. I have no idea what they were going to do with them. This was an interesting contrast to the US, we would never see this happening right there on a public street.
For PP work, I cropped the image, adjusted levels, contrast and colors. I then sharpened it, as it was a little soft. Lastly, added the frame and resized. |

when I look at such a pictures, I am thinking about Oliviero Toscanni.I give you note for the courage to make this foto.
Hi David,
You didn't just capture a scene...You captured an emotion. That is what I love about photography....History right before our eyes. Wonderfully cropped and the added touch of the man's legs and feet give us the actual depthof the guns. Thank you for such a dramatic posting.
Take care,
Bettina Marie
Interesting capture. It shows the difference between how we do things in the USA verses most of the rest of the world.
You'd never see anything here yet the USA is, by far, the world's largest maker and supplier of weapons. We hide them better than everyone else.
Amazing picture. Powerful and telling the true. They are not melted down, and they are not from the army neither. Probably The Guerrilla had something to do with it. Sad, because I am peruvian, and sometimes there are some realities even if you don't like them, you have to deal with them, until they are gone. I hope they will gone some day.
