Aquest arbre, del que no recordo el nom, es plantat just al centre de cada poble que van conquerir els espanyols. En aquest cas és al poble de Maras. Com a "conmemoració" de cada poble conquerit, plantaven un arbre, i aquest va ser plantat cap al 1490. Lo més increible és que la gent, una vegada lliures de l'ocupació no els arranqués.
When the Spaniards conquered Peru, like "regards" to each conquered town, they planted a tree in the center of the town. This town is Maras, and this tree stood towards the 1490. A tree on a central spot can be found in any Mediterranean village as well...
