[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the most colorful markets in all of Peru is that held on Sundays in a place called Pisaq...about 1.5 hours by bus east of Cusco. It is a feast for every sense...visual, auditory, olfactory and tactile. Everything from alpaca carpets to pumpkins are on sale here. And everything is "negociable"! This is a closeup of a handwoven llama carpet...Indian ladies in their bowler hats and braids...more colorful doesn't exist. Had I more space in my luggage I would have bought it....and for roughly one-fifth the asking price in Europe!
