ps A remark on the colour of the clothes,
they are strong colours like this,
see this link for more
and added the original in the WS on Luc's request.
ps ps: To answer the question asked by Con.
Their main food is potato, rice, fish and sort of bread.

Hi Vandana
A nice capture here of daily life in another world (well ... country.) I can see you've taken some painstaking steps to process this shot, especially the added blur to the background. A successful shot - thank you for sharing.

Hi Vandana!
Great atmosphere of cooking.I like mostly the colours of clothes.Very good shot,Vandana!
Cheers.
Cezar

a very nice shot shows the culter of that place... Colorful and great compo. TFS Vandana

What a superb capture of a 'daily-life' scene from a different culture and a different world. We don't get to see much of such shots. I like expression on their face. Well done Vandana.

Hi Vandana,
yes the colors are here but I think the saturation is too much... The result : too much pixels. The blur seems to fake also ... Sorry...
F.

Hello Vanny. Girl I see myself not going to the disco in these dressings but thats not the issue, do I like it for'them' Oh Yes I like it. Its so colorfull I love the strong saturation!!!
Sharpness and the way they all are concentrated around the fire: Super POV and your blur is nicely strong.
If you do not mind I make dinner on my normal cooker tonight :-) Great Vanny, well done. Hugs
Joos

Hi Vandana,

I really like their rich and colourful clothes! But I wonder what's for lunch? (^_^) Great POV and framing!

Well done & TFS

Hello Vandana,
This is a very nice daily life photo with a great subject and an action very well capture. The lighting and POV is excellent. Watch out though on over doing the PP work, here I find the color a little bit oversaturated, the other thing is the use of the manual blur. It's ok to use it a little bit but in this case the contour of the people and the object is blurred since you've increase it too much. I'm sure that with this great subject the original without too much PP work would have been very attractive.
Greetings.
Luc

Hello Vandana,
Very rich in colour, clarity and much details on your captured!
very well done
cheers
Tony

Hello Vandana,
The Peruvian women always seem to wear so colourful outfits..!
I wonder, is this a setup staged for the far away visitors, or possibly real daily life..?
Whatever... situation is well framed and captured with fine details!
Greetings,

Great one Vandana. Very interesting capture. And again .... wonderful concept with frame ;)
Well done.

I like both versions, while this one is an intimate view, the original sets it within the context of village life. Lovely colors.
Luc has some good points in his critique. This happens to me also, and then I scramble to find the version where I started from, backing up....
Interesting details on the ladies braid! Now for the cooking: is it edible (I mean, for average western tastes)?
Now, if any sparks from the fire escape, wow, with all that dry vegetation around....
Cheers
Otto

Hello Vandana!

Your colorful photos are bringing me memories of a lady and once very active member of TL and her daughter Tyanne Santome (Tyanne). Tyanne is still active.

Colorful catch of a daily life scene. I just hope the image would be a bit sharper. Good idea to blurr the BG. I don't think it was necessary to saturate more the colors here.

Even if I use the maximum definition of my 8.0 megapixel camera, I increse the size 8 times before I start working with the lasso tool to blurr an area. This way the lines and contours are more accurate and less perceptible. here it is a bit too apparent. I have to agree with Luc and Fumare

I like the tight composition and framing.
Cheers!
Robert

Great shot with very well captured atmosphere supported by composition and vivid colours. I like the framing.TFS

I don’t think that the saturation is the issue here but more the compression factor. Likely the result of multiple saving in jpeg format but compression for sure.
I recommend converting your picture to tiff before pp. This way there is no compression if you save it more than once. The noise in the faces of the childrens really is unacceptable for the D70s. And I’m not talking about the smoke.
Also. There is too much unnecessary pp. The blur back ground for example.
Why not using a shorter dof instead? The odd edges around the pots shows an deficiency in your pp work.

POV. I would have like to see the woman’s face as well and I see a perfect angle for that.

My bottom line advise. Try to limit your pp work. From what I have seen of your work in general, pp is the most negative element of your photography. You have a great sensibility and a good eye. Don’t let the tech aspect rune that.

I hope that my comment can benefit everybody that didn’t notice those issues.

Vandana: Top shot!
Just as impressive as that stunning Machu Pichu!
The colors very rich and the perfect POV.. we look with them over there shoulders to what the 'daily pot'
brings on the table. Excellentpost! Razor sharp.
Looking forward to next.
TFS

Hello Vandana,
This is a very interesting scenery with beautiful colors indeed. I have to agree with Luc as the PP has done some strange things... I'll be very honest with you (and I think it's a compliment :) I prefer the original version ;) This is well done anyway with interesting notes. Thanks,
