[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was taken in Sillustani - the pre-Incan burial ground on the shores of Lake Umayo. A short information about the chullpas is below the PP info.

Sillustani is a pre-Incan burial ground on the shores of Lake Umayo near Puno. The tombs, built above ground in tower-like structures called chullpas, are the vestiges of the Colla people, Aymara who were conquered by the Inca in the 15th century. The structures housed the remains of complete family groups, although they were probably limited to nobility. Many of the tombs have been dynamited by grave robbers, while others were left unfinished.

Hi Barb:
A wonderful two tone silhouette of an Inca burial ground, the Magenta turned out surprisingly well in the simple colour scheme. The two figures on the horizon add a sense of mystery and suspense to the mood of the photo....original and well done to present a graveyard in such a way..... Thanks Barb ..Roman:0)
