How about my pet (1)

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
People all over the world, even in the most primitive circumstances, have pets. Dogs are found everywhere. However, especially in non-western countries one sometimes finds less ususal pets. I encountered this scene in a Marron village along the Tapanahoni in Suriname. A young couple was bathing a mother and baby sloth (luiaard for Dutch speaking people). Here I was proudly shown the baby.
I intend to publish a short series on this subject. |

Wow.. thank you for this one. the composition is great. I like the man's expression. very in focus. But, I would like to blur more on BG and decrease the brightness on the BG.

Hoi Loek.
Very nice shin tan, the boy has.
The 'Pet' is looking rather 'Lazy' lol
Hope you show some more of it.
Very funny picture it is.

Hi Loek,
What I find most appealing in this image is the kindess in the man's face, so heart rendering. Photography wise it's fantastic that his gaze doesn't land in-line with the lens, it would be too direct and the image would seem too staged. Now as for the fact that he's holding an animal (a very adorable one!) and is half undressed, is quite picturesque. In all Loek, I think this is a truly sublime image. Soulfully sweet. :)
Biance.
