[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday, we went to the Colonia Tovar to celebrate the birthday of a friend. The Colonia Tovar is small town founded in 1843 by German inmigrants. It preserves the Black Forrest type architecture, as well as some eating habits. As it is colder here than in most of the country, strawberries and blackberries grow here. One of the typical desserts is strawberries or peaches with cream, but yesterday I was lucky enough to get strawberries with vanilla ice cream. Really delicious. Strawberries were sweet and juicy, as opposed to strawberries you can buy in Caracas which are mostly sour-sweet.

I used the supermacro feature of the camera to get this shot. I sharpened a bit, rezized and added the frame. I used this crop on purpose to focus more in the delicious fruits and the ice cream.

Ouuu it is difficult to loose weight when seeing such a great shot! Very impressive details and colours. Thanks for sharing.

Bah! I'm drooling! I opted to avoid dessert at a restaurant tonight and this isn't helping..haha. Great close-up with wonderful detail. I would suggest maybe panning out a bit more to get a better view of what one is looking at, especially because the white whip cream in the center is distracting from the other elements. But great use of lighting and nice textures. TFS!
