this was the view from the door of a train compartment i was travelling in from bombay to madras, in india. the state where this image was captured is known as andhra pradesh (enroute)

it's an amazingly beautiful place, with astounding (and surprising) views of desolate, rocky landscapes and sunflower fields in quick succession. too bad there were so many transvestite beggars on the train, but nevertheless, great views throughout!

Welcome to TL Sheryl & Naveen. I like your postings and you are off to a great start with this shot Naveen (Nikon). The POV and composition are very nice. On a personal note, I find it slightly too dark on the left and lacks some saturation in the sky. If you have Photoshop or another photo editing program, time to pull it out and start enjoying the digital darkroom world - it opens up a lot of fine adjustments and creative possibilities.
Thankd for sharing,

fantastic, i too love those sights from the train. excellent shot

Hi Naveen/Sheryl,
Nice composition. I feel that the sunlight is too intense, affecting some of the elements to the left of this photo. The sharpness is alright, the desaturation doesn't quite work for this, in my opinion.

A point worth noting though, is the way you must've needed to stick out your hand to get this PoV, and without *any* shake, considering the heavy vibrations in moving Indian Railways' trains!! Kudos to that :)

Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
