This shot is of an old castle in the Scotish Borders, local tales say its the most haunted Castle in the area. There is a strange atmosphere about the grounds, no birds, animals and no one goes near the place at night. Real spooky I have tried to capture the atmosphere by using B&W.I would appreciate feedback re the composition e.t.c

Una foto tenebrosa, bien trabajada!

Hi,
Great photo.
The sharp is very nice, the B/W make it perfect.

Good work.

Nothing wrong with composition Andy. Swirling effect has helped create an eerie feel. Would have liked some bare trees etc to put it into a location as to speak but perhaps there was nothing else there. In which case you have probably made the best of what was available.

Great shot, mystic no 2 ways about it. It has atmosphere, nice POV and good choice of B&W. Scotland has some nice photographic oppertunities. On the downside: why not centre the title?

Looks like Smailholm Tower Andy, with a little pp work. Suits it well. Looks like I have some competition with Border views :-)

Good choice to present this in B&W as it adds to the mood of haunted castle. Nicely composed but maybe a bit tight at the top as the top of the castle almost touches the frame. I don't mind that there is nothing else than the ruined castle as it is typical of Scotland which does not have that many trees. Well done!

The photo is impressive and very moody but I think there is a lack of depth (dof) with the castle.

Great atmosphere Seing that we know the legends start well :) Nice treatment in B&W! The fog is great to help the atmosphere! Just a good dose!

Hi Andy. Great atmospheric shot, The use of B&W certainly give the feel of a Bella Lugosi film to the picture. Well done!!!!!!
