My younger son Ryan in a moment of pride. He is my fishing buddy. Unlike his 15 year old brother Kyle (seen in post a few weeks ago), Ryan still thinks it is cool to hang out with Dad. Here on one of our many fishing adventures he is pictured with his largest fish to date. It was a 19” or 48.3cm Largemouth Bass caught last summer from Hopewell Lake near the historical site seen in previous posts. He had no help from me to catch this nice size fish and he was very proud to do so all on his own. We measured and took pictures of the fish and released it back into the lake for another day.

I love my two boys equally and they both mean very much to me and they both make me quite proud. But there is this connection that I have with Ryan that is different than with his older brother. Kyle is my first born… my “#1” as I call him. He will always be special for that, but he has always been closer to his mother than he is to me. Kyle is natured more like his mother than his father and I love him for those traits. He is growing up to be a wonderful young man.

Now Ryan here, he is my mother’s curse. We have that connection that Kyle and my wife have. We know how each other thinks without words and we share the same intense stubbornness and need to be alone. He has been called my clone. This has been both wonderful and frustrating and I am sure the ride is going to get more interesting as the years pass.

Thanks for your time as always and letting me introduce my two biggest reasons for the pride that I have.

Love and Peace Always!

Hello Kevin..
Wow! That's a fine catch! Goes for both fish and photograph... You capture his pride very well, but then his feeling is rather visible too! What may be the weight of the creature? We don't have bass here in Norway, but the related "abbor" is about the same judged by the looks... Only one issue here, to me joy always happens in colour
Regards,

Hello Ryan *-)
Very touching note, relationships between fathers and sons can be so hard sometimes, but in your case, your sons can be proud of their father too
Have a wonderful Sunday Kevin!

Hi Kevin,

Well done on the capture. He's a proud boy with that catch. Nice fish, BTW. Be about a 2 1/2 - 3 lbs. Looking forward to summer, FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike

Well caught, Ryan! Well captured, Kevin! Nice tonal range, and the grin is priceless. maybe would have preferred not to see the back of the seat as the background, but that's me being nit picky again... Thanks for sharing this one, Kevin!

Brings back memories... thanks for sharing :) Not a bad catch, either...

Bravo Ryan!! Nice capture!

Kevin...beautiful your both sons, just great kids and wonderful human beings!!

Kevin, I admire the way you relate to your children...you are just a wonderful father!!!

Your friend, Sabina

Priceless moments in ones life
You captured it fantastically, may god bless your family, great note too.
Thanks for sharing this treasure

Nice "fishing story" picture, Kevin, and this time we have the proof that he did catch a very big one that he can be very proud of. Great expression on his face and what a smile he has which really shows his pride in his accomplishment. Excellent!

Give him a good pat on the back from Uncle Jaco and tell him well done, we are all very proud of him.
