What a great macro shot, sharp focus, the shot is made by the clear catch lights in the spiders eye.
is there any P.P work here ?

Julie, it is pretty much impossible to get all of the subject in focus. I use a Nikon lens which has a 1:1 magnification at its closest focus at which point the DOF is about 1/32 of an inch.
The only way to get a larger DOF is to use a large F stop and a longer exposure both of which are impossible on a moving target.
Nice shot BTW, I like the offset compo.

Hello Julie,

Nice capture here. The colors are great together and those light catches in the eyes really bring this little spider to life. To get a deeper range of focus in macro or any lens is increase the f/stop value. But this will reduce the light coming into the camera which will call for a longer exposure setting. The ideal macro shot is supported by a tripod or something solid. Not just for vibration, but even just the slightest movement can throw focus off ypur subject. Hope this helps. It looks like it could be a crab spider of some sort. Hard to tell not seeing the abdomen.

Hi Julie,

Well done on the capture and composition.
It looks as if it was on clothes. You could have moved it to natural light source, then, at about F16 or more, it would be tack sharp.
Look up my work at Trek N. you'll see some using a Point and shoot, with limited DOF, yet excellent results.
What counts here, is the face, and you captured it well, excellent work.

Hi Julie,

I think you did a great job to capture him as you did, Like Mike says you got the important part (face/eyes). This spider almost looks like a crab, I guess its the colour.

If oyur shooting macro and you want to get it all in focus. You'll need to compute your htperfocal distance for the lens being used....Or
If you have enough light it can be don by setting a 22 orgreater f/stop.
you may need a tripod if you havn't enough light
Try different speed with fill flash at f22
