this is great, really
i love it :)
best regurds
very good image, the railings desappearing into the dune.
Good composition and colours
Regards.

I love this! It is symbolic of nature's passive indifference to human kind's interference -- we build and build, but nothing we create can stand for long against time and nature. I also love your idea of the train bursting out of the sand. You should try it! You only get big and clever by stretching yourself and exersizing your mind -- we learn by doing. And even if we fail to accomplish our goals, the experience increases our abilities. ;O)
Very nice shot - I like the colors a lot. Maybe if you had left that piece of sky out, filling the whole space with that sand hill...just a thought. TFS
This picture shows well that nature always win over man made projects.
The image is nicely divided.

Bravo Barry, bien vu et bien pris.
Merci de partager.

Hi BArry,
I love any image with rails in it, and this one is super. I would have cropped the sky out.

Excellent photo Barry, stuning composition, I guess all roads don't lead to Rome after all...

This one is one for the publishers my friend, excellent post and such a lot of charactor in the shot. well done and points later - also to my favourites..
like it just as it is. and ohh so symbolic.
This is a very beautiful picture. I'm impressed. :) But then I haven't really seen much of a dessert, so I am easily impressed (show me the snow, and I will say that it is boring). :)
The composition looks good. I would crop it a bit tighter to avoid the sky and gives us the feeling of sand being continuous. Not sure I agree with the focus ... I feel everything should be in focus and you are missing it a bit on the bottom.
That's about all from me. :)

A master effort in this dessert! I am not a huge fan of the processings that had lately hit the CCC competition! So I would say no to the train!

hi barry,
i dont think that you had to ad a train or something to this drastical image, it speaks out of its own and i think its great - the story it tells is the thing thats important!

Ummm, don't you mean desert?
Or is the train you plan to be bursting out of the sand the dining car, serving dessert?
This is a remarkable photograph, the subject is interesting and thought provoking, and you've caught it in a light that accentuates the colours of the rails and the sand. Good light is hard to come by in tropical locations with the high angle of the sunlight, so well done!
Hi,
Nice shot. Interesting note.
Created a fun WS for you.
