I like this, interesting close crop, maybe it could have been a little sharper?
Good picture.

If I had a penny for every photo i've seen like this, i'd have one penny, great Job!

interesting subject but very good :)

I like this type of pictures showing details of equipments as it always provides some very good graphical elements. I think you did quite with the composition but I think it is a bit too centered and there is quite a bit of shadows at the top. I did a quick workshop to show you a different vision on this picture - I hope you won't mind. Well done!

Sorry, I have run out of green smiles!

Almost perfect. A bit of sharpening or more depth of field would have been nice maybe. Great crop and colors. I like the centering and I love the shadow on the top. Sorry, Tintin! :))

I believe you it's old. Of course i'm not a specialist. But i know that just the corve of that steal structure, the way it's turned in "U" to have more resistance is a clue. It just miss the rotation of engrenage under!
Special angle! I like the mix of colors and rust...

It's beautiful composition..

:) shortly

Yes, very nice! I am obssessed with rusty things myself, actually I take a few shots of them every day, but supress myself to post it on TL. Because people would start calling me Rusty Maria :S
I find the colours and light very nice. Maybe I'd crop a bit the lower part, but Im sure you wanted to keep the wheel.
great work!
regards
M:)

Niek,
great abstract of the gears. I like the colors and the use of light. Nice job on the border, as well.
Keep shooting,
Aaron

nicely done, could have been a bit sharper though, and maybe not so centered, still a good shot.
Christine.

Hi Niek,

well observed, excellent crop. Interesting details. I like it.

tfs,

ferran

Hello Niek,
This an excellent shot. Very good compo and colors. A little soft maybe but very good shot in general. I also have a similar shot of rusty pipes at http://www.treklens.com/gallery/Middle_East/Turkey/photo102394.htm
Anyways, I wanted to play with it a little. Hope you don't mind an like it.
Cheers my friend,
Alp

This is great,
you got a good graphical elements in this picture, and very good details, it's a ptty that the focus run away a bit, but this is TL and maybe you choose that way :)

Hey Niek
Wonderful pattern out of this picture!
Just a pitty for the lack of sharpness. But it doesn't take any value of the shot away. The cropping of the scene is absolutely an excellent choice to create that so strange feeling of something turning round in a square shape...
I like it very much!
Henri

Very interesting shapes and colors here. I like this photo very much, it would look good framed hanging in a workshop, well done.

i like the way you were able to capture such a neat piece of machinery, the different colours and tones here help to create this startling image, my only technical critique is that it needs to be a bit more focused!

cheers niek

Heel mooi Niek,
Dit is nou wat ik bedoel, je hebt zoveel goede foto's, dat je natuurlijk ontzettend veel goede kritieken krijg en daar doet mijn kritiek lullig overkomen!
Jan

Great composition! Nice detail.
