| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Red eyes, clear wings, metallic colored body, three cross-grooves on the thorax are prominent features of this insect. Blow flies are scarvenger and lay eggs on dead animal. This particular one was found on jasmine leave. |

hi
cette macro est relativement bonne, la mouche est nette sauf le bout des ailes legerement au mise au point, mais sinon les couleurs sont bonnes et le BG reussi.

My first thought was "Oh my, what patience and what speed to capture this little fly!" He (or she) is well placed on the jasmine leaf, he's not quite in focus on his back, but this kind of macro is so difficult to do that this does not bother me. This is not a textbook illustration but a moment in real life and an exceptional composed one at that.
Regards,
Lois

I like your macro of this blow fly because of the strong colours and the metallic glitter of the body. Could be slightly better focussed, but then I agree with Lois that such a superfast insect is difficult to 'pin down'. Good, short not too. Thanks for sharing this one. And have a good week.
Cheers, Cordelia
