Very nice macro shot ! The texture of these onions is very well rendered and the ambient light is very well used. Very beautiful.

Hi Chris, very good shot. It looks like a stock image ! Great Composition and light set up. So you also have your little home studio now :)
Btw I just ordered the Minolta Dimage A2. Hopefully it will arrive during the weekend :) Yours, Jan

Your strawberries look delicious ;) I'm almost weeping!
Incadescent light works fine.
Can you tell us please what have you used as the black background? Black velvet?
Would you like to post the original shot as a WS?
I've just created a mini "white-stage" too, (please see my posting,) and would like to try "black-stage" shooting too.
Thanks

itīs a interesting idea. I like the result. Very criative. I like the onions skin color.

Lovely strawberries you got here, Chris. This sort of strawberries, in Brazil, make us cry while peeling off. It might be the weather... :) GREAT MACRO !!!!

Nice sharpness, nice colours, nice frame !
Beautiful Chris !

Your strawberries bring me to tears, Chris (sorry for the genuinely bad pun). A very well-lit still life you have here with a great result; the texture of the onion peel almost looks like wood. Well complemented by the black background and frame. Great work.

they are not strawberies, only jokng.

great macro and the onions are super defined

Beatiful close up! Sharp and soft at the same time with warm colors. Well done and a special bravo! for the title!

very nice shot Chris. The light and the focus are perfect for me;-) makes me hungry... lol

Excellent macro! Funny title! :) Interesting composition and sharp detail. I like the black background contrasting well with the warm colors.

A nice trick with the title, or the starwberries in Australia looks like onions? I hope that they don't taste like onions, anyway.
Anyway, a very very well composed and captured shot. The color of the peels is so nice. Very well done, Chris.

In my childhood we used to call it garlic, but who cares!

Sorry to have to do this Chris, but these are not strawberries, they are in fact Hazelnuts. ;-)
This once again is a beautifully executed macro, the lighting is perfect and the detail and focus perfect.
Well done and keep up the good work.

Great shot of shallots...colors and composition are terrific. I forgive your strawberry pun... ;)
