[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken during the 2005 Billabong Pro in Jeffreys Bay.
On this specific wave Kelly Slater from the USA pictured here, scored a 9.8 ride.

I had a terible time to try and keep my lens clean from the mist created by the waves en blown to us by the wind. SO... I had to sharpen the image a bit, and played around with contrast. Added a frame, and that's it.

Really nice picture, you have caught the action well

Very nice, this is beautifully composed . Good sharpness and beautiful colors.

This is the most exciting moment you have caught!Good composition and sharpness!I think, you better bring a "raincoat" for your camera next time.:) Good shot!

Can't say I'm uch of a surfer, but it's a nice shot anyways ! Great action, nice composition, excellent execution.
Nice work Ryno !

Wonderfull how the action is taken from a great angle! SHowing well how strong is the moving water and how he slyde well on it!

Hi Ryno,

Great capture, action shots are especially difficult. And the light metering of these cameras aren't the best. Exposure is good on this shot.

Regards
Conrad

Pretty good work Ryno!
You caught him in an almost flying position between water and sky. His position is great as we can feel the tensed muscles of his legs. No problem with the quality either as their is a lot of water "drops" around.
Well done!

Cheers,
Pris.

Cool action shot - good work!

wonderfull pic!

Hello Ryno! Great shot! Nice colours and details! Perfect wave! Well done! Lili

Hello Ryno!

9.8/10 for the photo! .... going straight into my theme: favorite sport shot!
Very dynamic and cool shot. I like a lot the movement and composition on this one.
Bravo!
Robert

Excellent capture my friend. Great action shot. The waves is awesome. Surf on!!

Great shot, perfect timing and good crop.
Regards Mark

Awesome! Lighting on the subject and composition is great. Waves are a bit bleached out towards the right - nothing that changes the impact!!

I shoot a lot of surfing in Mossel Bay when I'm down there. Terrible backlight conditions at The Point.

Hi Ryno. This is a marvelous very professional-looking capture of a real champion at work! Perfect timing both by the surfer and yourself. A great one to keep. Murray.
(I was a surfie, but never quite like this!)

Good job, your efforts were not in vain! Great action photo, I like the splashes of the surf and the posture of your object.
