[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
yesterday was a special day for Paul and me, so we gave ourselves a day off... well, for us, that means, drive, be free and take it as it presents itself.
The weather was: overcast of the dark grey variety, not the 'softbox' effect that can work very well sometimes. We drove up to the Yorkshire Dales and Moors, and very soon, we got snow!
Drove on, to, yep, more snow!
Veered down, it cleared, the sun peeped, watery and tentatively, but, for a photographer patience is one of the most important and challenging virtues, follow the light, wait... be ready, shoot!!!
That's what I did, the first lam I saw this year, a tender and good sign always, new life.

Have a lovely day and thanx for commenting, Magda, (*_*)

Glad you had the day off together and a well deserved one. So lovely to see the signs of spring and the animals out in the fresh air once again.
I notice the main subjects are in the centre of the composition, but I guess it works too sometimes.

Hi Magda

A superb shot of this sheep. I like the fading tonal range & lighting, from front to back. Well done & congratulations!

shown enthusiasm of kid sheep..nice to see that. subject is in centre.. wudnt have been great if it was on the upper right 'thirds'?
welcome for spring.. good subject

Quite a painterly effect here and a sweet scene.

Hi Magda,
a lovely shot and realy a good sign. I love the little baby here so much and I hope you enjoyed your day and it brought you new energy.
I also have a day for rest today - the weather is soooo bad and I decided to make a long sleep at midday - now I'm a little refreshed and it brings so much joy to look at your shot, thanks

Hello Magda;
Wow... It's incredible.. It's a perfect composition and great shot... It's also very impresive photograph... Wonderful colors and beautiful ambience...
TFS...
Stay well..
Salim.

Nice capture Magda! If anyone can make a centered composition work, it's you. Looks like you made the most of a grey day :-)

Pleasing composition!
Cannot say I know that breed, but moment is nicely captured anyway!
Impressive stone wall in the back, quite a few hours of work put in there

Hi Magda, the soft colors remind me of a painting, lovely spring shot. Indeed, Spring is just around the corner.

Hope you had a great day.

Hi,
A very pretty scene I liked the mother and it youngling! Good colours and composition!
Thanks Ana:)

I like the composition of this photo very much Magda, and its (very effective!) simplicity.

Good signs indeed! New life!

Thanks for this, Magda. :)

I have problems of distraction with your photograph, is the light? or bokeh? I don't know.. the central subject is nice ...
Congratulations for your birthday and wedding anniversary Iread in other post that ikt was on last days...:)

Simple and yet so effective Magda. Lovely composition. Nice to see someone centering the main subject(s). I worked on a sheep farm for a short period of time and lambing wasn't in Spring there it was mid winter. There is nothing more satisfying than driving around paddocks (fields) full of ewes with newborn lambs. TFS
