I was looking at the pictures I took since we arrived here in Sydney some three years now and my attention was caught by this picture. It was taken on a new year's eve.
Every new years eve, it has become I guess a tradition for Sydney folks to gather at this place to watch the fireworks at the harbour bridge.
I hope you will like the picture. Thanks for viewing. |

A pretty and interesting picture. So this is one of those big ctivities that happen on the grounds around the opera house. very interesting to look at the faces and the ethnicity of the people. I can observe a lot of asian faces in the picture. Very well seen.
I will see you when I come back from the amazon River.

I like this shot, Konie. While not an 'eyecatcher' it has documenary character. Guess it is hard to get a 'postable' shot from such a busy scene, but you managed well. With an Australian icon behind it.
Cheers
Cordelia
PS: We no longer attend those fireworks because it takes ages to leave the inner city again afterwards. But they are beautiful, and it is a good atmosphere.

Hi Kone, this is a great crowd scene. Everyone looks nice and sharp, and the colours and details are all very good. Well done,
Janice
An unusual view of a sit-down demonstration riot, with the usual suspects protesting against the fact that the beer has run out - or something trivial like that.
Interesting more for it's details rather than anything else. While there is the iconic OH in the b/g, which does look a bit odd from here, it is the 'moment'. Knowing that it was just to watch a f/wks display rather dampens the whole thing down a bit. You shoulda lied and told us that it was a Homeless peoples' Convention.
Full score for a cheeky one.
hi konie,
thanks for bringing back memories of downunder..i will visit the place again.
it resembles the crowd of the just recently concluded Pasadena Tournament of Roses parade.
clear, bright and sharp upload.
happy new year!
