[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Still waters may run deep, but rivers are continually changing...

I have been watching the Red River this year, tracking its rise ever since the first rain of the spring season a few days ago. As I write this post, the river is at 43.1 feet, and it is rising steadily.

Two of our three bridges are expected to be closed and underwater by the end of the week, and there's still rain on the way. My heart goes out to the people of Fargo/Moorhead and all of the other towns along this river that didn't get the federal money to build behemoth dikes and levy systems like the ones we have here in Grand Forks.

It shouldn't get too bad this year, but I have more photos and information on my blog site.

Until next time, peace.
