[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture is a composite of three different photos. The demure and graceful dancer -the main subject -was taken several years ago during a cultural performance that took place downtown. The fair Chinese girl was taken at a different occasion. The main background object - a pot of flowers - was taken recently during a camera test.

To separate the demure dancer from the distracting crowd, a mask was patiently made due to her intricate headgear and she was extracted and saved as a separate file. The pot of flowers was imported into Painter and brushed over to create an oil painting effect. The Chinese girl's image was then imported as a separate layer and a clipping mask was done. Manipulating the blending options between the two layers the final background was produced. The extracted demure dancer was then imported in as the third upper most layer and scaled to the current size and position.

Hope you all like this composite. Thanks.

Hi Ronald, you have done some amazing work here to get this excellent result. Very well displayed. It would look even better if it was a larger image. You can go up to 800 wide and long. But I say BRAVO for what you show us. Thank you
Janice

I could see this hanging on my wall. The three images combine well and create a beautiful picture. Thank you too for your note.
Well done!
Patricia.

Hi Ronald

Wonderful color & sharpness. I like the superimposition of the 2 images against each other. Good work!

Thank you Ronald for the notes explaining how you did this. You are very clever, I enjoyed looking through your gallery, and love the shot of the girl with the green ribbon also. One small thing that is visually distracting, is a vertical 'line' I keep seeing that devides this image down the middle. It starts with the white image (flower?) to the left at the top of her head dress, and runs down the fabric that she has over her arm. No one else has seen it, maybe it's just me. Still, a very clever picture. Cheers, Karey

Hi Ronald. I'm a new to TL and love this photo. One day I hope I can post something as beautiful as this. I look forward to viewing more of your work.
