[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another shot from my first experiment with maternity photography. It is very different from my other but there is something about it that really appeals to me. It'll be interesting to get others opinions of this one.

My friend was getting tired, as happens in pregnancy, and I suggested we try to take some shots with her laying down to give her a break. She just kind of sprawled in a position that was comfortable for her and her bump and I moved around checking out various angles. I thought this was going to be a lost shot because I only got one picture in and being that my apperature was so long, she breathed then moved positions and I lost the opportunity to take another. Going through all the photos later Rod suggested to me that maybe we could still make this one work with some PP. He had the idea to soften it even more using blur. So what I did was sharpen the lower left corner(her shirt) and use the gaussian blur with a gradient moving up towards the upper right corner. Sorry if that didn't make any sense I'm having a hard time explaining it in any technical way! I'm going to post the original as a workshop to show you what I did.

I'm happy with how it turned out. I feel it shows a different view of pregnancy, that it can be sensual. Even though she sure wasn't feeling sensual!!

What do you think?
